UNICEF Headquarters, Lodhi Road
UNICEF engaged an international consultant to design a solution to mitigate CO2 and PM2.5 in their entire office. This involved a combination of deploying fresh air units, MERV 14 electronic filters, chemical filters and real time monitoring.
NB will the only bidder that qualified technically. One of our most difficult projects in complexity, to date – it was executed over 3 months back in 2018.
JW Marriott, Aerocity, Delhi
The leadership at this marquis hotel was proactive in wanting to work towards a health and safety compliance for air in light of all the bad news around Delhi’s air, especially during the peak travel months from October to March.
The NB team retrofitted MERV 14 electronic filters on all the Air Handling Units and Fresh Air Units, to achieve a compliance. Also, real time air quality monitoring is deployed and the data is shared on a floor mounted display in the lobby of the hotel.
The Quorum, Gurgaon
A members’ only lifestyle club, where community, culture and collaboration intersect to create The Quorum – The Third Dimension. Both inclusive and exclusive, the leadership at The Quorum reached out to achieve a health compliance as it relates to PM2.5.
Our team has retrofitted their AHUs with MERV 14 electronic filters, so all the air in the club is sterile and within the WHO safe zone as it relates to PM2.5. The Quorum also houses the Sumaya Fitness Center, where PM2.5 is paramount for the safety of the members.
Fitness First
While exercising is good for health, exercising in air laden with PM2.5 is extremely risky. Fitness First, a Global leader in the Fitness Club sector reached out to achieve a health and safety compliance for indoor air. We were tasked to mitigate both CO2 and PM2.5.
By installing a fresh air system fitted with MERV 14 electronic filters and flush mounted systems, we achieved WHO levels of safe and healthy air quality.
Ardee School - First Domed School of India
The first phase of the Ardee School initiative started in 2018 when they launched an air pollution taskforce to reduce the exposure of children to air pollution. When AQI exceeded a certain threshold, the taskforce deemed it unsafe for the children to play outdoors. So, the first phase at Ardee involved setting up of a >25,000 square feet indoor play area with filtered air where PM2.5 levels were >95% lower than ambient air.
In the second phase, we have closed the entire central atrium that was open to the sky, to create a dome, or a micro-environment. 2 large Treated Fresh Airs units, fitted with MERV 14 filters pump filtered air into the central atrium solving 3 problems:
- Risk mitigation for COVID transmission through ventilation – system has been designed for 2 air changes per hour
- Reduced air pollution exposure – TFAs are fitted with 2 layers of MERV 14 filters for a double pass filtration
- Increased ventilation will increase Oxygen levels in the classrooms which will enhance student health, alertness and academic performance.
